Many employees that we serve have a unique opportunity to join their spouse’s health plan during the transition with Remodel Health. If your spouse’s employer offers a group plan, our team of licensed benefits advisors can help you smoothly transition to their plan!
The transition to Remodel Health negates the factor of spousal carve out. A “carve out” means that an employer will not allow the spouse of an employee to join the plan they offer if that spouse is also offered healthcare through their employer. With Remodel Health, however, you can join your spouse’s plan, earning you the benefits of affordability, accessibility, and reduced max out-of-pocket and exposure.
Medicaid provides health coverage to eligible adults and children. Now, you have access to enrollment support with Remodel Health’s Medicaid Specialist. Remodel Health will provide an individualized advisement for all employees converting to Medicaid.
A Health Savings Account is a medical savings account available to those enrolled in a high-deductible health plan (HDHP) as determined by the IRS. The funds contributed to an HSA are not subject to federal income tax and can be used for qualified medical expenses.
WHAT IS AN HSA?
WHY AN HSA?
Eligible employees can open up an HSA account to use tax-free dollars for qualified medical expenses! HSA funds remain in your account until you use them (i.e. the money rolls over every year and can be accumulated over time). In addition, HSAs are “portable,” meaning the account and all funds stay with you if you change employers.
YEARLY CONTRIBUTION LIMITS
Remodel Health encourages all employees enrolled in a High-Deductible Health Plan to contribute the full amount to their HSA each year if possible. Remember, if you don’t use the funds right away, they roll over and are tax-free. An HSA is a great safety net to have for whenever you may need it!
