PeopleKeep HRA administration for small businesses

Small businesses deserve health benefits that are simple, affordable, and easy to manage. While Remodel Health’s ICHRA+ solution primarily supports large and enterprise organizations, PeopleKeep by Remodel Health focuses on helping small teams confidently launch and manage HRAs without the overwhelm.

If you don’t have a full HR department, or you’ve never offered health benefits before, you’re in the right place.

Built for small businesses

Many small employers want to offer health benefits but feel stuck. Group plans are expensive, administration feels complicated, compliance seems intimidating, or they don’t know where to start. PeopleKeep removes these barriers with user-friendly software that guides you through setup, simplifies administration, and keeps you compliant.

How it works

Getting started with an HRA is simple.

QSEHRA: A simple starting point for small teams

The qualified small employer HRA (QSEHRA) is ideal for small businesses with fewer than 50 full-time equivalent employees (FTEs). It’s often the perfect starting point for employers offering benefits for the first time.

With a QSEHRA through PeopleKeep, you can:

  • Reimburse employees for individual health insurance premiums and qualified medical expenses
  • Customize monthly allowances by family status
  • Stay within a predictable budget
  • Offer meaningful benefits without sponsoring a group plan

Employees need minimum essential coverage (MEC) to participate in the QSEHRA. This includes coverage through a spouse's or parent's group health plan.

ICHRA: A flexible benefit that grows with you

As your business grows, your benefits strategy can grow with you. An individual coverage HRA (ICHRA) works for employers of all sizes.

With ICHRA through PeopleKeep, you can:

  • Reimburse employees for individual health insurance premiums and qualified medical expenses
  • Control costs as your team grows
  • Customize allowances by employee class, age, and family status
  • Satisfy the Affordable Care Act's (ACA) employer mandate without sponsoring a group plan. While PeopleKeep primarily supports small businesses, ICHRA provides a path to satisfy ACA requirements should your team grow beyond 50 FTEs.

Unlike the QSEHRA, employees need their own individual health insurance plans to participate in the ICHRA.

GCHRA: A supplement to group coverage

If you want to support your employees’ out-of-pocket medical costs while continuing to offer a group plan, a group coverage HRA (GCHRA) is right for you. With this HRA, sometimes called an integrated HRA, you can offer your employees a tax-free allowance for out-of-pocket costs, including expenses before they reach their group plan deductible, copays, and more.
